Non-Residential Weekend Retreat
A Peace offering
(The peace of being Aware)
April 27 & 28, 2024
with Special Guest Teacher
Howard Cohn
Registration Closes Friday, April 26th, at noon.
In the Wendell Berry poem “The Peace of Wild Things” he reminds us that wild things “do not tax their lives with forethought of grief.” Forethought of pleasure and pain both keep our minds in a state of tension and suspended peace. Meditation reminds us that peace is available in every instant as our natural state. Practicing together in a sustained way also helps to weaken the habits of mind that oppose peace and grow the conditions that increase peace and wellbeing. What better peace offering can we make to this suffering world than being together in silence, moment to moment ending war in our own hearts and minds. Suitable for new and experienced yogis.
