Path of Refuge, Daylong Retreat

  • 931 North 5th Avenue Tucson, AZ, 85705 United States (map)

Where do we usually look for refuge when we are faced with difficulty? Do we distract ourselves by surfing the internet, visiting the refrigerator, obsessing about a problem?

We often seek refuge in the very things that perpetuate our suffering. But our refuge does not lie outside of ourselves. It is already here, within. We begin by meeting ourselves exactly where we are. Stepping onto this Path of Refuge, we take refuge in clear awareness; we take refuge in the truth of reality moment by moment; and we take refuge in the support of spiritual friendship. Come join us in the simplicity, silence and support of this daylong retreat.

The day will consist of sitting and walking meditation, Q&A , and a Dharma talk. To deepen our practice the day will be held in Noble Silence. Bring whatever sitting gear supports you and please bring your lunch to offer continuity of practice. You are welcome to bring a snack or tea to share. A refrigerator and a microwave will be available.
