There’s a good chance you’ve noticed the groundswell of interest in meditation. The number of physicians, therapists, corporations, and schools recommending meditation continues to rise.
Regular meditation has been shown to improve immune function, focus, and overall happiness, while decreasing cortisol levels, blood pressure, and anxiety. Recent research even suggests that meditation slows the aging process and promotes longer life.
This 5-week course will focus on the foundations of Insight Meditation, including techniques, benefits, and origin. You will be guided in Mindfulness of Body and Breath, Emotions, and Thoughts, as well as cultivating Loving Kindness for one’s self and others. The clear, simple instructions will support you in establishing a regular meditation practice.
