One day...
the student asked her teacher, “When should I prepare for my death?”
The teacher replied, “Oh, you don’t have to worry about that until the day before you die.”
The student was perplexed. “But I don’t know when that will be.”
“Exactly!” replied the teacher.
It’s never too soon to contemplate our mortality. We will die, but we cannot say when, or perhaps even how. But we can consciously prepare for the inevitable moment. We can prepare ourselves - spiritually, emotionally, and practically. This can go a long way to diminishing our fear of death, while helping those around us as well. In this class series, Anna will highlight a number of time-honored spiritual practices, attitudes, and practicalities that we can work with now that will ease our relationship with death.
