The Heart of Practice: Befriending the Hindrances Daylong
If we are not aware of the Five Hindrances: Greed, Aversion, Sloth-Torpor, Restlessness-Worry, and Doubt, they will be running the show. These forces hinder our ability to see clearly. They not only distract us in our meditation, but they can have a strong influence on our daily life, causing harm to ourselves, to others, and to the world. They are the heart of our practice, not a departure. Befriending the Hindrances can be the very basis for cultivating greater awareness, wisdom, and compassion.
Join Community Leaders, Terry Magee and David Bornstein, in this continued exploration of the Hindrances.
The day will consist of sitting and walking meditations, mindful exercises, Q&A, and Dharma Talks.
